The ban on team orders in Formula 1 has been dropped for 2011 - but the FIA has retained the option of punishing teams judged to have behaved in an unsporting manner with their tactics.
The governing body had promised to revisit the regulation outlawing team orders following the controversy at this year's German Grand Prix, when Felipe Massa handed victory to his Ferrari team-mate Fernando Alonso.
FIA president Jean Todt has since hinted that the F1 organisers will use their discretion and judgement over team orders in the future, rather than having a hard and fast rule on the topic - an approach ratified by the World Motor Sport Council in Monaco today.

I'm torn on this subject! Yes its a team, but it's and individuals world championship and that is what carries the weight! I hope they revisit it and do the right thing.

By dropping team orders, teams can still be punished if it is not in the sporting code of practice which means this season gone Ferrari would have had their butts kicked with more than a fine which did not bother them one bit.
To me if a future champion needs help from team orders he is not a worthy champion, a champion should be man and car and may the best person win
