Controversial subject. I think Hammy should have gotten a penalty for this in China. Give me your opinion of this pit entry/exit. Louis was wheel to wheel with Vettel exiting the pit lane. Seb was in the fast lane, Hammy was in "pit box" lane. Lewis should have slowed and let Seb go ahead of him instead of racing down the pit lane in the "mechanics pit side" of the blue line. Dangerous stuff...there was only a slap on the wrist. Opinions? vimeo.com/11018301

ok Hammy should have slowed down, its great for us to sit in judgement from the TV, but in the heat of a race this is adrenaline flowing, why are folks looking for faults and how to dock team points! I want thrills not a bunch of drivers driving around looking after there backsides

Blacktulip,
I just spoke with an F1 Mechanic who spent many years as an outside tire changer. He agrees with me 100% that a slap on the wrist is not enough for this rule violation which endangers the safety of other teams.
He said quote "most people don't realize how close some drivers come to hitting tire changers on pit entry and exit" and "Racing is supposed to be on the track, and not in the pit boxes" This is why there is a blue line separating the exit lane and the pit box area.
Just quoting an experienced guy who knows what it's like to come within inches of spinning tires of cars going sideways.

Having been a marshall for part of my life I am fully aware of the dangers involved, the point I make is that in the heat of the moment this type of thing can happen, also it is down to the lollypop man and not the driver to make shure that the road is clear for entry.
So to me a slap on the wrist for Hammy is correct, could be the lolly man should have been repromanded as well, but this is racing and incidents will happen.
