Whilst I am happy with a Ferrari 1-2 I was disappointed with the race and I really do hope it is going to change. The full tanks and tyre regs have proved that racing is now over and it a case of conserve your car. The F1 following that has come on the back of the past couple of seasons we will now lose due to the fact that it is a procession of cars going round a track. The Bahrain track was changed for overtaking, so that was a waste of someone's well earned cash! No challenge for the drivers either, no speed, no pushing it to the limit and no strategies. Felt sorry for Vettel, Red Bull Adrian Newey needs to get the exhaust system sorted and quick. Was disappointed with Schumi. has he lost it???

Well done Alonso! Great drive..
Bad luck Vettel..he was unstopable until the car failed..
Hats off to new rookie Nico Hulkenburg who finished the race..
Also good job by Lotus with both cars completing the distance.

I may have psychicly sabotaged my favourite team, just before the exhaust failed I thought to myself that ever since the team formed the first race has never been kind to RBR. Hey, at least both cars finished (and in the points) this year.
The think that fills me with despair is that both Button and Webber managed to reel in the car in front but couldn't get past. Doesn't seem like the regs to encourage overtaking have worked.
Edit to add:
Yes, well before he retired, if you ask me.

Well done ferrari 1-2 although some luck was involved. The Bahrain Circuit is not the best for exciting racing,The fact is the new regulations of no re-fueling does not work, with no fuel strategies to mix it up It was like a lot of people have commented a procession of cars going round. Only at the end of the race with vettel's exhaust failure did we see any overtaking. Even Massa and Hamilton said overtaking vettel was too easy and not racing. Bring back the re-fueling please. Was disappointed with Schumi. has he lost it??? [/quote] Im not a Schumi Fan, and I cant believe i'm gonna say this but he did ok saying its his first race in 3 years, However ,I would say the only thing he was missing was the oppurtunity to knock his competitors out of the race. ;D ;D ;D

I couldn't believe you had something good to say about Schumi! Thought you'd lost it too Wandy ;D Then you make things right again with that last part of your comment...........typical!!

Give Shoe a few races to get back in the swing of things. Remember his strength is communicating with the engineers to set up the car. There has been little time to do this so far.
Unfortunate for Sebi, but they just moved his exhaust from the high side to undernieth the car. One of the welds on his headers must have broken. He hung in there, losing probably 50 horsepower.
Early season jitters...Shoe will improve and Red Bull will become more reliable. Just chill, watch the action and development unfold.
Good show by Lotus for a new team! Give them a break, they will get better over time.
You must admit that Freddy Alonso and Massa did well...patience, strategy, and a great car.

Sadly I believe the new regs will dampen the spirit of my beloved Schumi and some other drivers. If they are not going to may be pushed to the limit of their driving ability they may lose heart. I hope I am so wrong. But you are right Gizzy patience paid off for the Ferrari's and yes what a great car it looks the part and gets the job done ;-) Ferrari back where they should be.

Dare I say...................... Gulps and takes a deep breath......... There was controversy in 94 about Schumi....daren't go into detail..... In 95 he hit Hill and won by default..in my eyes......... In 97..he "quote by Martin Brundle.. You hit the wrong part of him my friend".... while referring to him hitting JV for the title and resulted in him being stripped of all points and having to do "community service..safe driver thingy" I could go on and on............. I'm with themagicwand... But this year will most certainly be interesting..... fizzy

Fiz, we know the Shoe history...and he's not my favorite driver...but he sure does stir the pot. Have you stirred the pot on occasion?
