news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8408475.stmThe new look stewards panels will consist of three FIA nominees, including a former driver, and one from the national motorsport authority of wherever the race is held. I think it is a great idea to include some race experience in the decision making process. There is however one massive pitfall. Any driver that you care to name, somebody in this group, covering as it does pretty much all fan combinations of team/driver, will object. For example, you say Schu, I say Adelaide or Jerez. You say "OK then Hill", somebody will bring up him forcing Schu off the road at Silverstone, and so on. So nominations please for the ex-driver that will be the most acceptable for the most people.

I think Stewart was a little too vocal during his short stint as a team boss for (especially) Jean Todt to back him.

I think its a great idea. Maybe someone who had no controvesy but that would be boring. it would give Nelson Piquet a job! Mark Blundell - is he still racing in the States?
