There was a very exciting Indy car race Saturday night from Kentucky. If you have the opportunity to catch a replay do so because it was the best oval race we've seen in years. Folks here in the USA can watch a rebroadcast sometime Monday afternoon on Versus. But wherever you may be if you want to see an excellent race look for the broadcast sometime very soon on your local channels. I just thought I'd contribute this since F1 is in a hiatus. Thanks for indulging me.

It really was a fantastic race. I stayed up all night watching it lol, baring in mind it didnt get going until 2 in the morning here lol. The changes to the regulations seem to have worked a treat, i am so glad they have finally introduced a push to pass system too. I was screaming for Ed to bring it home, would have been a great under-dog win but was happy for Briscoe.

Glad you got to watch, despite the late hour. I was also hoping for Ed to win, but a friend pointed out something that I think is true: If Ed had won it would have made the win seem a bit of a fluke-- at least the first time with the P2P and new aero changes. Better that a Penske or Ganassi car win this one and have an underdog such as Ed Carpenter or one of the others win at a later oval race in the season to prove that it wasn't a fluke the first time. The next eace is this weekend at Mid-Ohio road course which is a pretty good place for a road race and is a good fix for us F1 fans starved for action. It will be Sunday midday or early afternoon here so probably during the evening UK time.

Thats a pretty good theory there, plus TG is part owner of Vision racing so that may have added a little bit of spice to it. I watch all the Indaycar races on Justintv so am always up to date. These 4 , well its now 3, weeks without F1 are going to be hell so i will be tuning in to any racing action i can during the break.

My son Robert went there with buddies and had great seats. He was a bit slow to catch the racing bug...but I think he is hooked now. I caught him looking at drag racing stuff too. I try to get him wrenching and following F1. Kewl!
