From ITV F1
Max Mosley has confirmed he will definitely stand down as FIA president when his current term of office ends in October.
In a letter sent to the governing body’s member clubs on Wednesday the 68-year-old said he would not be going back on his earlier decision to not seek re-election, which had been seen as a key part of the recent FIA/FOTA peace deal.

Max Mosley has thrown his full weight behind Jean Todt to succeed him as FIA president when he steps down from the post in October.
In a letter to the governing body’s member clubs on Wednesday, Mosley confirmed that he would not seek re-election for another term – paving the way for the peace deal with the Formula One Teams’ Association to be finalised.
Mosley expressed strong views about who his successor should be, however, arguing that former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt would be the ideal candidate.

The politically astute Todt has long been mooted as a future candidate for the FIA presidency but has not so far declared his intention to stand, while former World Rally champion and MEP Ari Vatanen officially threw his hat into the ring last Friday.

haha! love it ... me gets out the garlic to ward off evil maxes
One of Moseley's FIA henchmen, steward Alan Donelley, is also running for FIA president. but I think he's was given insider knowledge of which teams were going to be accepted next year, so he got a stake in the new Manor team when it was dirt cheap ... talk about unaccpetable practices within the Max-run FIA

Toddy has confirmed his intention to stand also
from yahoo.com
Former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt will join the race to succeed Max Mosley as president of Formula One's governing body.
Todt made his candidacy official on Thursday, a day after Mosley backed the 63-year-old Frenchman to lead the FIA as he announced he would not seek a fifth term in October's election.
"It is my intention to continue and expand the outstanding work of president Mosley," Todt said.
Todt is the second candidate to step forward after former world rally champion Ari Vatanen announced his candidacy last week.
