Ok, so is it going to be a Brawn 1-2? Methinks Sebastian Vettel will be going for a win in his home race. And will it rain??? fizzy

The BBC website for Nurburgring, says heavy showers Thursday, light showers Friday and sunny intervals Saturday with only 18* so the Brawns will struggle with no heat.
And rain on Sunday.........woah

I see fizzy is still sticking by her guns regarding JB winning the race ;D. On the other hand SusieQ seems to be switching sides and now supporting Vettell, it was only in May that she was supporting JB and offering Fizzy her JB t-shirt as part of her forfeits. Wonder why that is ?? ;D ;D ;D If it does rain it will be a very interesting race. Will JB get the victory or will Vettell. There is one thing that wont happen, JB doing a MS and knocking his closest rival of the track ;D ;D

IF it rains then methinks it's anyones race to win! JB won't do an "MS" and ram off his rivals....but Alonso might! And I wouldn't put it past Rubens to punt someone off either. Brawns won't win if it's cold...... Vettel for victory ;D ;D fizzy

""On the other hand SusieQ seems to be switching sides and now supporting Vettell, it was only in May that she was supporting JB and offering Fizzy her JB t-shirt as part of her forfeits. "" Wandi, how could you say that when you saw me in my Vettel t-shirt at Silverstone. 8-)I do support Jenson and Vettel and Ferrari, as you very well know!! You know I've been a fan of Vettel's for sometime, and have said so in many of my posts! I would just like Vettel to win this one, his home GP, and it stops the so called fans calling it boring with one driver winning all the time. However, I don't think JB can afford to lose if he wants to win the championship, but if it is not warm enough he will struggle, now if it rains, we are in for one hell of a good race. Still luv ya though

Intellicast says there will, also, be a wind of 8- 16 kmh (5-10 mph) from WestSouthWest. This means a tail/cross wind on start finish straight and head/cross wind Bit Kurve to Coca-Cola Kurve. ;D Also- Button "claims" that Brawn has the tire compound that will deal well with the cooler temps. Hmmm- now where did I put that bottle of snake oil? I'm going with Vettel. ;D Like to see Mark Webber get a win Rubens on podium would be nice , but I don't think this has ever really been his track ; and Jensen- I don't care as long as it's somewhere behind Vettel. Maybe someone will "bump" him off track.

I watched free praccy 1 and 2 today...most interesting comments by the commentary team (which included Ant Davidson who was SUPER).....
They said Vettel has never driven a race at this track before and so is still learning it.
They said that this was going to be Sebastien Bourdais' last race for Torro Rosso
Davidson gave real good info about the "coding" info of the buttons on the steering wheel.
They said there was some dispute over Force India and they nearly didn't practice todaydue to possible impounding of equipment due to "contractual" issues. Eh Eh?? Anyone know more about this?

Fizzy about Force India - this is from Autosport
Force India is confident that its dispute with the supplier of its motorhome will be resolved in its favour, despite an attempt by the contractor to have the motorhome impounded by German police at the Nurburgring this morning.
The team said it would continue discussions with the contractor but would not be backing down.
"The Force India Formula 1 team today received a visit from legal representatives accompanied by uniformed personnel who demanded that the team's motorhome be vacated as they wished to seize the team's property," said a team statement.
"This dispute with the contractor has been ongoing since last season and pertains to the quality of construction of the motorhome and its functionality.
"The contractor decided to take matters into their own hands without due notice and process and approached a local German court who were presented with highly disputable facts.
"Force India will resolve matters during the weekend with the contractor but will fiercely contest the wrongful claims made by them before the local German Court if no amicable settlement is achieved."

Hey susieq,
That's funny because about a month and a half ago, I was watching MotoGP from Dubai and they said that the french team that was in 3rd standings had won and could finally afford to get more than 1 room for the next race or two. all of them were in one room with mechanics sleeping on the floor. The strange things that cause racing teams problems.

Wow - what a qualifying session that was! A really big well done to Mark Webber, Rubins and JB. Vettel so close but so far away, but not all lost for the race tomorrow, and what it race it holds out to be. Mixed emotions, for the first time I don't know who I want to win! I am still 100% sure that Ferrari need to get their act together and get rid of that lazy so and so Kimi"I've given up" Raikonen.

I laughed at the commentry that went something like "and all cars are coming out - except Kimi who is probably still in bed!" I was just pleased to see my lifelong team up there - McLaren, tomorrow will be unmissable. Good on yer Webber - about bluddy time mate!!

YeAH he probably was - gone back to bed with his ice cream. Makes me mad, I only want a committed Ferrari team not one that gives up before rubber has even touched the track, is it too much to ask for?

Ferrari, the "prancing donkey", should buy Kimi's way out of this billion dollar parade. He'll ultimately be much happier taking his world championship elsewhere. World Rally maybe. And maybe Alonso will be able to drive this red pile of junk which he has coveted for so long.

Piquet outqualified his team mate ;D he must get some brownie points for that. Would be a shame if it is his last race. Ferrari out qualified by a Force India, what is Ferrari coming to (sorry harping on too much today on how bad Ferrari are) makes me sad

Lewis has some new bits on his car...I expect him to be more competitive. Mark Webber had an outstanding qualli...good to see the aussie making progress.
This looks to be a very close race...with changing weather...rain/ no rain...cold temps... I would bet the crews will be changing tires constantly. Anybody could win...maybe an upset. Webber? Sutil?
I'm thinking Mr Brawn will pull it out of the hat. Tire strategy...timing... and know how will prevail. Master of strategy.

For the first time in a while, I am really looking forward to an F1 race - mostly based on the quali yesterday. The weather will be a major factor, team tactics could be tossed all over the place, and some great new faces up in the top mix - I'm expecting to have no nails left!!! ;D
