Well done to Adam Carroll driving for Team Ireland, in finishing 1st in the Sprint race and 2nd in the Feature race, with Team Switzerland coming 1st. Team GB, well i won't mention them as it was a poor performance Full results can be seen at www.a1gp.com

Hopefully normal service will be resumed for team GB next race when Danny Watts returns! That is assuming Fiona lets him off nappy changing duties!

Yes, at 7am on the 15th January, a boy named Joshua. No idea of size unfortunately.

Congratualions Fiona, Danny and baby Joshua ;D
I read somewhere, think it was Autosport(could be wrong), that he would probably miss the next race too. And Robbie Kerr was asked to drive and Oliver.
Is anyone else off to Brands in May?

Marc do you know if Danny is driving in SA, or is he still on nappy duties , driver stats on the A1 website still says TBA.

The last I heard he wasn't, however this may have changed since the last time I heard anything so I wouldn't rule it out. I will try and find out.

I wonder if Robert Doornbos will still race given that he just signed with Newman/Haas racing in the US IndyCar series for 2009.

It's unlikely he'll race in A1 series again this season, as for the the first time he will test for the Indycar Series this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday he will race on an oval in Homestead. Good luck to Bobby D.

Good luck to Bobby D. Thanks, susieq. I just didn't know if he would have time to race this weekend and get to Florida in time to test. btw, there's a drive-in fast food joint in my hometown that bears your user name. Good food, too!

A1 Team Great Britain has confirmed that it will host another charity ball at A1GP Brands Hatch, Great Britain this year, in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
The ball, tickets of which are available to the public, will be held in the VIP hospitality suite at Brands Hatch following A1GP’s official practice sessions on Friday 1 May. All proceeds from the event will go to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
The ball has been a big success in prior years, with guests able to interact with the GBR drivers and A1GP executives. There is also a charity auction which has had some fantastic lots donated by a wide range of Demelza supporters. Great Britain race driver Danny Watts visited Demelza’s brand new hospice at Eltham on Monday, to be opened in early summer. Tickets are limited, so anyone interested in attending should contact Sarah Taylor for further information on +44 (0) 1795 845204 or sarah.taylor@demelza.org.uk.
