Ok, so who is lucky enough to be attending this year? Is Brawn gonna win again? I'm gonna miss most of the weekends live action as I have to work on friday and am off to watch my daughter race a lil Goblin Greenpower racing car on Sat.... So you all keep me up to date with all the news and gossip from the racetrack on Sat Fizzy

Not me, I decided not to pay the high prices this year and make Bernie even Richer :-(
Will relax at home and watch on tv, apart from missing the great atmosphere you see far more of the race on TV

Anyone know the costs involved for a weekends F1 live viewing these days? Last time I went 'live' was as part of James Hunts entourage in Spain in 1976, (he won) and it cost me nowt! Since then I have been an ardent screen viewer, alone and in parties - you see so much more detail!

I guess costs vary a good bit. £229 for a general admission ticket here's the link www.ticketstosee.com/order/348/Then I would have flights and accomo and food on top That's WAY too much to pay for the 5 of us fizzy

And its only a 5 min walk to the circuit......Cant come soon enough. Just hope the rain stays away this year Gonna be one hell of a send off for Silverstone and a Brawn Win a must, whether it be JB or Rubens . ( But hopefully JB) ;D ;D ;D

You can get tickets for the Indy 500 for $20. Plus another $5 or $10 if you park on speedway property.

Guess it all goes in BE's pocket at the end of the day. Hence I will be watching on telly........ I may be wrong, but I'm kinda glad I won't be watching qualis and the build up to qualis live...if it's going to be a JB show then I am not interested.... BUT the BEEB have been real good in their build up to races these days and focused on other teams and drivers. fizzy

I'll be camping too Fizzy, we take our own food and eat out, as the pub in the village serves great food and there is a little Spar too, (it must rake it in). The SRA were we camp as toilets, showers, a bar (of course) and has a bbq going too, even at 6am! General admission tickets are about £99 I think, and you can get some great views. I just love it, and wish it was on for many more years to come- Donington just aint the same.

Sounds wonderful susieq Reason I'm asking about camping is coz I want to go to Knockhill and camp there in Aug. I'm not confident or strong enough, to take the caravan there myself. But I'll happily take the tent + 3 kids! Back to BGP, I'll be taking the tiny telly to see qualis on Sat. It plugs into the car f*g lighter and tho it's black and white picture the sound is good.... But GTP results may be a little late fizzy

we have a motorhome it has all mod cons but we park near oxford and are driving in and parking on site this year , friday we have roaming ticket which means you can get good photos from all the stands. I want Button to win at home it was great to see Lewis and DC do it before. I think you have to watch a live race once just to feel the buzz

Will be in Woodcote. Can't remember which one. Will be in the circuit until 10pm on Sat night partying. Breakfast at crack of dawn in SRC ;D Decided as its likely to be the last at Silverstone for the forseeable future it was worth doing one last time.

Webber on Kimi
"Kimi was, I don't know, drinking some vodka or dreaming or something, I don't know what hell he was doing but he should have been on the right and he was on the racing line, dreaming. That wrecked my rhythm really into Stowe, I was very tight into there". "Kimi couldn't have done a better job of distracting me. He was right on the racing line, on the most important lap of qualifying and it ruined my rhythm."
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Webber :-)
