I'm losing my job!

Hey all! Seabassfan here. Thanks to the "wonderful" economic situation here in the states, (for some reason) I'm going to be losing my job in the middle of July.

I work for a company that gets its merchandise from disasters and businesses going out of business. Now it seems that my company has decided to close the store that I am working at by July 12th.

Funny that a store that is part of a company that propers on businesses that close has decided that my- and other stores- have to "liquidate ourselves.

I wasn't surprised it happened since they had sent only 5 trucks of freight in the last 5 months. I just wish they had been honest with us instead of saying that "once the new shipping and pricing systems get running smoothly, you'll be getting regular shipments.

We only found out Wednesday of last week. But, I was planning to go back to Seattle in October after our lease ran out (I thought they'd keep us open that long, at least).

So- I'm gong to have to give up internet for a while. I'll try and use a computer at a library to take wild stabs at pole guesses.

I tel my co-workers- "I guess I (should) have taken that job offer to work at the Clarion Berhini in Sao Paolo, Brazil {2004- when I saw the Brazilian Grand Prix[ won by Juan Pablo Montoya]}.

by the way- do any of you have any openings where you work? I'm poor but a hard worker and have a plane ticket to anywhere in the world with Northwest Airlines. I can go- just can't afford to stay!

So sorry to hear that. You will find something soon im sure, its just getting pretty dire out there. Keep your chin up and push hard to get a new job. I think everyone knows someone who has been affected by the current economic situation, it is so scary, especially as you would have thought your employers would be looking for more staff atm considering their market. But things can only get better, keep the faith.

Seb did a solid job at Le Mans, his Peugeot was leading comfortably and was pretty much the fastest car out there early on but hit trouble early on and had to settle for 2nd, but a good job from Steffan, Frank and himself (all current of ex f1 drivers).

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that Geoff, not what anyone wants to go through!

It does sound ironic that your store where you helped companies, now has to go into liquidation itself

Hope you find somewhere else soon, try to stay positive and you'll be back here in no time.
