:'(Ross Brawn has admitted that the current uncertainty surrounding Formula 1's future is having a dire effect on sponsors' confidence.
Despite dominating the world championship, the Brawn car remains in an all-white livery with few sponsor names on show.
Brawn said it was going to be hard to change that situation until the current impasse between the FIA and FOTA - and the threat of a breakaway or major team departures in 2010 - was resolved.
"The commercial side is a difficult balance," he said.
"I have to be frank - what's going on now with the entry and other stuff doesn't help anybody's situation.
"Partners for the future want to know where they are partners of.
"All this difficulty is extremely damaging commercially for all in Formula 1."
He pointed out that even the newcomers who had committed to the 2010 FIA-run world championship were being left in limbo.
"These new teams, what championship are they entering?" said Brawn.
"Who are they racing?
"How can they go to their sponsors and say 'we're going to be sat next to Ferrari on the grid next year' when Ferrari might not be there?
"Nobody is able to progress on the commercial front today because of the uncertainty.
"So it's damaging for everybody, not just the teams that have made a conditional entry, it is damaging to teams trying to enter."
Brawn reckons his outfit will be able to make rapid progress on the sponsorship front as soon as an agreement is reached between the governing body and the teams' alliance over 2010 rules.
"We're optimistic, but we need to get this situation sorted so that we can look people in the eye and tell them what the situation is going to be for next year," he said.
