Apparently the budget cap has been delayed until 2012. Not sure of the legitimacy of this but thats what i am hearing. What would this mean for the new teams entering F1, surely Campos and USF1 would want to withdraw their places for next year? Any thoughts or updates?

I have read Bernie Ecclestone had this week in Monaco threatened to take legal action against Ferrari if they go through with their threat to quit at the end of the season.
He says that would be in contravention of a contract that commits them to F1 until 2012.

New teams want a budget cap, current teams say no.
This battle is not done yet.

All Bernie an co. need to do is raise the cap from 40 million pounds to 70 million pounds. You suggestion makes a lot of sense. So, no, I don't expect that to happen.
