this is a comment I posted on the survey, linked below, regarding next year's budget cap and the future of F1. "I feel that there is too much "flux" in F1 due to continuous changes in rules made by the FIA. The current rule setup is perfectly fine- However, I feel that next years budget cap of 40 million pounds is too drastic! I feel that 70 million pounds is much more suitable since the technologies used in F1 cars are adapted to regular street cars. Besides- I bet it costs somewhere in the range of 10-15 million pounds just to go to the "fly-away" races. That would leave 25-30 million pounds to cover salaries, development, testing, operations, entrance fees, and miscellaneous expenses." Seems every time I read something new, or answer some survey related to next years changes, I feel like we should "get out the torches and 'hunt down' the monster(s)! www.questback.com/haymarketmediagroupltd/xphrph3sf9/

If only the FIA could manage to stick by the rules and not change them when it's not needed and create daft ones (new points system 2010 as an example) or create a budget cap of such a low amount (40 mil is not a lot for a top team and not diss USA GP or Silverstone) then F1 would become a true sport again.

So true, so true, Fizzy! ;D Here's a new proposal- How about if we fans stage an uprising and take over the FIA, and bring some kind of sensibility to Formula 1. I sqwak abut ticket prices, but if they keep going the way they''re going, we may not have F1 as we know it. If the FOTA decided to start their own series, how would the decide budget limits that aren't too high for new teams to enter. I wonder what Peter Windsor thinks of all this mess?
