There was a drive by Autodelta, then Ligier.
I remember the Ligier 12 cylinders often backfiring and sounding sour during the races back then.
Maybe they banged the pistons, and bent valves. But it was cool to have 12 cylinder engines.
8, 10, 12 cylinders...they all sounded different. The new young people in this sport will never know this great sound reverberating off the buildings. Bummer...It was kewl.

I think he drove a one off race for Arrows in 82 or 83, but his full time comback came in 1985/86 with Haas Lola. He raced successfully for Haas in Can Am in the 70's.

well it was michael schumacher's hemlet, i think it was because of a condensation problem with his own.

It was Michael Schumachers helmet and it was coz of DC's lid kept misting up and both had the same helmet suppliers and both have heads the same size!!!
But 4 cars finished the race Frentzen finished 4th. Salo, Hakkinen and Irvine all collided at the end and none of them recovered to take the flag.

It was once lol, in Portugal in 1989 i think it was, for one solitary lap, not bad for 20 years in the business haha.
I think we will all remeber that one, an Australian team owner, an Australian driver on his grand prix debut at the Australian grand prix finishing 5th, fairy tale stuff.
