I had Sky News on today (meant to be revising for my exams ) and they must have replayed it a dozen times each time it was featured. They are both so very lucky.

Now, I'm not religious or anything, but I'd call that a "miracle" that they were only bruised up. Holy cats! you could see the car go sideways while still in the air1 Wowee!!

Yes, omg that was lucky....... BUT..... during my years as a Fire&Crash&Flag marshal in South Africa, I regularly heard, and believed, that driving a racing car/rally car on race/rally tracks, is safer than driving on the N1 (or M1 or equivalent)....... BECAUSE: 1) "We're all going the same way" 2) "We all know what the others are doing!" 3) "There are timeous warnings out for most other things" ~ and most obviously ~ 4) "There are qualified and efficient safety personnel on the scene before u make it one!"

So, the point of this is, if you want to drive fast, there's a TIME AND PLACE, and apparently it was not the helmet that saved him, but, thankfully he had his racing harness on!
