Fernando Alonso warns Lewis Hamilton "I'm gunning for your crown"

Fernando Alonso has warned bitter rival Lewis Hamilton: "I'm gunning for your crown."

The Spaniard said former champions Renault are back to their best - and he aims to deliver a double slap in the face to McLaren by winning the constructors championship as well.

"Our goal must be to win both championships," said Alonso. "If we don't, it will be a disappointing season."

The double champion, booted out by McLaren two seasons ago, added: "After last year they had an advantage. That is no more."

"YAY..love this....rivalry starts early....no harm in that tho" I do too Fizzy, it makes it more interesting but I don't think Alonso is the only one to go gunning for Lewis' crown..Massa wants it really bad and if Kimi doesn't charge his batteries his seat for 2010 will be given to Alonso so I am sure Kimi is going to give us good battles too and I am sure will try to go for his second title. It is going to be a great season. We can't forget Kubica either and above all..the defending champ LH will also try to go for his second.

Actually...everyone who is competing this year would not be competing without the thought of the final glory of the crown in their sights.

This is gonna be a fabuloso season!
