So... he had 2.6 billion euros and was concerned about the USGP not spending another 10 million dollars for rights to run a race? And he really wants to have a race in north america?
Sounds like some politician spending 3 trillion dollars then bragging about how he cut 100 million from the budget.
0.3 cents on the dollar. Wow, Impressive.

So- Bernie's worth (still) 1.6 billion euros, eh? why doesn't he pay the Wheatons the 2.5 million pounds owed by Donnington Ventures leisure, Ltd. and chip in some to get Donnington ready for 2010 and beyond. Of course, we know he won't. If he did that, he'd have to raise team participation fees along with ticket and concession prices. That would mean possibly Lola and Aston martin backing out of F1, USGPE would probably have second thoughts due to re-budgeting, and, more-than-likely, empty seats. This guy keeps dictating things in regards to the operations of Formula 1- how about if His "Hiney-ness" contributes monetarily to help out the sport he owns? But, on the other hand, he'll let everybody sweat bullets about whether there will be Formula 1 in England. Bernie better remember one thing- the governments of Europe aren't as stupid as ours here in the U.S.- They won't just throw money at a "non-essential" entity like ours did with AIG (us$1.75 billion and now they don't even exist anymore); that has been guaranteed by the House of Lords. Hmmmm- sounds like a wise group of people this House of Lords.

Thought FoM was actually in 'her' name, not his, before the divorce even started.
