Well, not a bad qualifying. Shame for Webber getting blocked by Sutil. Wonder if he'll get penalised? Good result for Toyota and Vettel again.

:DThat was a really good qualifying session, well done to the Toyota's and can't wait to see how Vettel is fueled against them. Jenson didn't appear to up beat when interviewed, it may not be as bad as he thinks. Kers is not the bee all and end all! Roll on the race tomorrow. This feels like the best season for a very long time

yea very good, the grid is now changing all the time, this is what we the fans want
Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock will start the Bahrain Grand Prix from the front row of the grid, after dominating the final session of qualifying at Sakhir on Saturday afternoon.
Jenson Button set the pace in the final runs of Q3, lapping his Brawn in 1m 34.044s. Lewis Hamilton's run for McLaren then yielded 1m 34.196s, but then Glock pushed them both back with 1m 33.712s only to be beaten moments later by Trulli on 1m 33.431s. It was the Italian's first pole since the fated Indianapolis race in 2005.
Sebastian Vettel was also on the move, demoting Button to fourth with a lap of 1m 34.015s for Red Bull.
Alongside Hamilton on the third row will be Rubens Barrichello, who lapped his Brawn in 1m 34.239s. As these words are written, the feeling is that the Brawns may be running heavier fuel loads than their immediate rivals.

Force India driver Adrian Sutil has been demoted three places on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix after race stewards decided he blocked Red Bull’s Mark Webber during qualifying on Saturday. Webber was in the latter stages of a flying lap near the close of Q1 when he came upon Sutil, who was travelling more slowly. The Australian, who subsequently failed to make it through to Q2, felt that the German had severely hindered his progress. Sutil had been set to start the race from 16th, but in light of the penalty will now drop to P19. Webber, meanwhile, will move one place up to 18th. From www.formula.com

It doesn't really help Webber, he's only gone up a place. He may not have done any better if he had of completed the lap without being blocked. It's a tough one to call I think. They could work out were he would have been if he had completed the lap without the block, but he could have locked a wheel, who knows. Feel a bit sorry for Sutil, and he did go and apologise.

This is the problem as it is based on what a driver might of done, but at present there is nothing better so we must live with it

Your correct Fizzy, but this season so far we are seeing changes on the grid every race, this can only mean more exciting racing for us the fans, and that is what racing should be all about
This so far has been the best racing I can remember for many many seasons

Mark Webber was left fuming after his qualifying session in Bahrain was ruined by an inattentive Adrian Sutil.
The Red Bull driver needed to make his final lap of Q1 count to avoid being sidelined from the rest of qualifying, but was blocked by Sutil’s Force India – which was on an out-lap at the time – on the back straight and wound up 19th.
Webber was understandably irate afterwards.
“I don’t usually get caught out in traffic, but it’s the worst corner to get nailed on,” he told BBC Sport.

Jarno Trulli said Toyota's domination of Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying was the perfect reward for the team's massive improvement over the winter.
Toyota looked quick from the start of pre-season testing, but has had an incident-packed year so far - with both cars disqualified from Melbourne qualifying, Timo Glock picking up a gearbox change penalty in China, and Trulli having his car mounted by Robert Kubica in last week's race.
But at Sakhir the Toyota duo were able to show their true potential, and proceeded to command qualifying and take their team's first ever front row lock-out.
"It was really nice to end up with first and second, especially for the Toyota team," said Trulli.

God, is that it... Sutil just 1 place behind Webber. Won't make much difference as I'm sure Webber will get by after the first or second corner. The Toyota's are obviously light on fuel so hopefully they get a good start to keep them ahead for when then have to go in to pit.

It is great to see different teams competing for the top slots. It makes it so much harder to predict the outcome. It's a real shame about Webber. Force India should have told Sutil about Webber being there. The penalty is barely worth having. Looks like Vettel is on for another win

Me too, he fought his way though and drove one of his best races ever. JB deserves that one. 3 out of 4 victories. Even Lewis did well too.

Fernando Alonso’s drinking pump failed during the race, leaving him without water for the duration of the race. He subsequently suffered from dehydration as he got out of the car. He has now fully recovered." (Source: Renault F1 Team)

Maybe Jenson's car was sitting low, and the magnesium skid plate was scraping the ground too much Suzie.
Cool to see some celebs out there...Jackie Stewart, Eric Clapton, and the drummer from Pink Floyd...I ferget his name, but he has a huge race car collection. A couple of the drivers live in Bahrain too.
Looks to be a Button/Vettel chase to the end this year. Nobody could have imagined this a few months ago.

I think this will be Alonso the last year for in Renault, next season looks like he will be in Ferrari :-). As for Renault chances are will be leaving the sport but will continue to supply engines to some teams.
