Bernie decided to have the race late in the day even though Malasya is well known for tropical storms in the afternoon-night but STILL wanted to have a late race. So, half way down the race it started to rain soooo hard that Charlie decided to stop the race. Jenson won the GP and since the race was stopped due to the rain, the points earned were cut by half. Since JB won, instead of packing 10 points, he went home with 5 points. Pretty chaotic but in my opinion good race. It was interesting to watch some drivers changing tyres left and right 'cause they thought it was going to rain soon. In these types of races the strategy plays a very important factor, specially when the weather is so unstable.

Hi and thanks El Cid, wonder if its worth running this race sooner in the day!, otherwise its just another balls up. In my opinion as race winner JB should still have been given his 10 points
Under Bernie's scheme if it ever comes in (I hope it does not) JB would have had a gold medal for his efforts today

F1 regs say 1/2 points if less than 75% of race is completed. Rain and darkness caused the end of this race.
Get the race started earlier, Bernie.

Hi Gizzy, yes the answer is start the race sooner
Still think though the winner should have full points decpite the FIA rules, a winner is still a winner

Under Bernie's system, JB would have won half a gold medal I agree - full points are deserved.
