Thought I'd start a new thread on this. ;D Well, I liked it so far. Loved The Chain and the video for a start. How many circuits did you see in that vid? Jake was good presenting and commentary by Martin Brundle and Jonathan Legard was good too. Tho Legard does talk a lot - but hey! that's his job. I didn't miss the ads - not one bit DC was pretty good - gotta give him a chance, he's new at this. Camera shots seemed just fine too but.... Can someone gag Eddie Jordan please? His comments just annoyed me. Like "Well, I expressed my opinion on this before and I won't do it again - so here it is...........blah blah blah" So summary - Super except EJ! fizzy

Fantastic, is how I describe it. Eddie Jordan is Eddie Jordan always contraversal. Jake is really good and the guys on 5live who commentate on practise Anthony Davidson and David Croft seemed to hit it off straight away. No adverts is fantastic, and your right Fizzy the start is great, I love that too. Plus with the BBC if you miss one you can play catch up TV all week without having to remember to record it. Fabulous, I'm loving it.

The BBC has done a fantastic job well presented no James Allen , plus the digital factor thrown in with the multi screen no James Allen , the f1 forum was enjoyable then when the forum had finished back to the multi screen and could watch highlights and I think they had started showing the whole thing again plus no James Allen.
But best of all no adverts !
And I got to agree with ya fizzy EJ love the sound of his own voice, but on a flip side it’s a good line up because we have DC views ex driver EJ ex team boss which gives us a insight on how they might be thinking , I have always liked Brundle anyway I think in a way now F1 with out his commentary would be the same as F1 with out M Walker
Oh and did I mention NO JAMES ALLEN

Thought it was good apart from EJ, bit disapointed that they made the after race comments on red button, thats my only complaint.

So much better, for one no ad breaks! second, its no longer the 'Lewis Hamilton' show, and last but most certainly not least, NO JAMES ALLEN. Its nice to have so many choices in terms of coverage, one of the best things.
The whole Jake, David and Eddie routine during race build up needs reworking though, i watched the after race coverage on the red button and it was as though they were interrorgating Vijay Mallya, the same with Ross Brawn during qualifying. I think they need to sit down with the producers and refine that slightly.
Overall it was great, strong start, looking forward to more.

I thought it was pretty good. I love the opening sequence. DC was good. EJ a bit of a handful but I would expect that from him.
No adverts!!!! So far so good.

blacktulip You need to buy one of them digital boxes so your telly can convert to digital. With digital switch over already started in some parts of the UK - you might kinda need to convert your telly soonish. The digital switchover has already started and ends around 2012. The dates for switchover are as follows: Border has already started and finishes in 2009 West Country starts in April 2009 and finishes in September 2009 Granada switches in 2009 Wales starts in August 2009 and finishes in 2010 STV North switches in 2010 STV Central switches between 2010 and 2011 West switches between 2010 and 2011 Channel Islands switch in 2010 Central, Yorkshire and Anglia switch in 2011 Meridian switches between 2011 and 2012 London switches in 2012 Tyne Tees and Ulster switch in 2012 info from www.digitaluk.co.ukfizzy

Its just a matter of buying a freeview box i think, you can pick one up for £20. Thats the thing with the BBC they utilize the red button well, they re-run the practise sessions which was a good touch as well as an hour long race recap immediatley after the race. They were also running the classic Australian grand prix on the red button too, should be doing it for the whole season which is fab. Other than that i think they run it on the BBC F1 page also.

Great to have Formula One back with Auntie Beeb. No adverts!!!. Let's hope the Chinese Grand Prix goes smooth without any 'if's', 'buts' and 'why's' I'm beginning to think I should check in on a Monday to find out on a Monday to see who actually came first, second or third.

I get to watch the BBC and ITV coverage on Justin.tv, and am more impressed with them than SpeeedTV, here in the U.S.

Having watched 3 races now on the BBC can pass better judgement and can only say it has not only delivered but surpassed my expectations, and thinking about t not a moment too soon , what with the new cars with out all the aid , there has been more incidents better racing , how much would we have missed with the dreaded add breaks.
Would also like to say who ever designed and set up this site job well done

The best bit is the music at the start it puts a huge smile on my face, I sooo want surround sound when that comes on!! No Adverts, No James Allen, No missing all the best bits because of the adverts. Plus all the additional coverage. How long we have put up with terrible coverage when it could have been on ITV ages ago. Bernie was right F1 belongs with the BBC.
