A few Friends and I have been chatting about who could be this years WC
Most think Ferrari will do it with Kimi or Massa Taking the crown
We also think Alonso will be in at the final shout
BUT the Brawn team could well cause a few upsets this season
We are McLaren fans but cant at this point in time see any challenge from the team in the early part of the season and as most know once behind in the points its hard to make up ground
Its not the first time McLaren have lost it for a couple of seasons and when you look at what Brawn Racing has done with little testing and the same engine as the Mac team, there are or must be grave doubts as to what has happened to the Mac team

Hard to say...specially when you have several teams complaining about one of the set ups that Brawn GP is going to use in Australia. Anyways...I think it's going be between Ferrari and Renault if Brawn GP allows it of course. To be more specific between Kimi and Alonso..do I smell 2005 all over again??

James Alen had the following to say on ITV F1
Brawn GP is the story as the season gets underway.
I watched them testing in Barcelona a few weeks ago, spoke with Jenson Button and Ross Brawn about the car and they are all very excited.
As Honda this team knew that they had a real winner on their hands and their frustration when the Honda board pulled the plug on the F1 programme was immense.
Ross Brawn had no alternative but to save the team and give this astonishing car a chance to race.
Their long-run pace is unbelievable and they will be very hard to beat in Melbourne. The BGP001 is quick over a single lap too.
I think Jenson Button has to be in with a very good chance as he’s always been quick around Melbourne. He had pole there in 2006.
Mind you, Rubens is no slouch around there either: he has had four front row starts and four podiums.
Can Brawn stay ahead as the teams carry on relentless development through the season?
Well, it’s an independent team, but it has a budget to impress – subsidised by Honda – and it has the facilities of a top team.

frank Williams also said
Frank Williams fears Brawn GP will “disappear” from the rest of the grid in the Australian Grand Prix if the team reproduces its remarkable speed from the final pre-season tests.
The former Honda Racing squad belied its hugely uncertain winter by dominating the last two group tests of the winter, lapping over a second faster than most of the field at Barcelona.
So stunning has Brawn's form been that Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello have been installed among the favourites to win the season-opening event, while some of sport’s top drivers, including Felipe Massa and Robert Kubica, have pinpointed the rescued squad as their respective team’s biggest threat.
And Williams, who hired a young Ross Brawn as a machinist at his team in the late 1970s, says he has not been surprised that the first car built at Brackley under Brawn’s leadership has made such an impact – conceding the BGP 001’s speed has shown everyone else's designs up.

Hmmmm
(a) James Allen often speaks through that place where the sun don't shine...fact....so we can dis-regard anything he says
(b) I reckon Brawn GP are running light, hence their fast pace....
(c) I'm thinking Mac Merc are sandbagging
(d) I may be totally wrong!!!!!!
As to who may be WDC...at the moment it's anyones guess..........so I dunno

Interesting Fizzy, I agree with you on James Allen, but, also Frank Williams is thinking on the same lines, mind you Frank has also been known for making, shall we say, some strange decisions in the past.
Yes Brawn could well be running light, at this point none of us know what fuel load or set up the teams were running.
As a Mac fan I hope you are right about them sandbagging but in my heart I dont think so
All in all we might be in for a few shocks on sunday
