Greetings F1 GTP fans!!


Fizzy asked me to take care of the entire GTP process for the weekend. So here is your Malaysia 2012 reminder from South Jersey, USA, by Leon722.


I hope everyone can understand me despite my accent. Yea, a weak joke, but what the heck. I'm new at this. I love the color purple and I enjoy GTP!


Round 2 brings the F1 Circus to the Sepang International Circuit at Kuala Lumpur.

Last year's pole was 1:34.870 by Sebastian Vettel.


As for the weather for this weekend in Malaysia,

I am aware of the BBC's release of F1. You have my sympathies. For quite a few years F1 here in the US was hard to come by on cable. Now SPEED Channel covers 90% of F1.

A few races are shared with a sister network. Then it is shown on video, up to a 12 hour delay. But the time of broadcast is to cater to the audience. SPEED does all live. SPEED does do some live streaming.

Qualifying is at 4AM for me on the US east coast. Not staying up for 3rd practice either. So, my Malaysia guess is 1:35.722.

Charles,

I am sorry if my GTP reminder was worded incorrectly. That was only meant to reflect that I was unable to give you a correct time for qualifying according to your location. So instead of telling everyone when quailifying begins, I left it up to you.

I will touch base with Fizzy and address the matter. If corrections in the results are to be made, I wil do so with no hesitation.

If no changes can be made, I will forfeit my own points for Malaysia.

Leon, no problem. My comment was to myself really. I've only been in the US for three days and didn't have a clue when everything began local time. When you're a tourist (and on the move) it's almost impossible to catch the local TV. My bad, as the young folk say.

Thanks Charles! Check some postings by gizzy. He has all the US TV stuff down to a science. I will look for the thread and post it for you.

And to let you know, qualifying was at 4am this Saturday. For racing, Sunday morning, GP2 is on at 3AM on SPEED followed by the Malalysian GP at 4am, also on SPEED. Those times are all eastern daylight time.

You are welcome to stop by if you get near South Jersey. We have 3 Basset Hounds, 4 kitties and 5 chickens!

Thanks Leon,
I'm in the UK most of the time but seem to come to the US at least 5 or 6 times a year. I'm even planning a trip to the Austin GP November.
SPEED is never on hotel systems but I might catch it when I stay with my friend in Houston. 14 dogs, 7 cats, 50 chickens.....
