Everything has changed. Well, almost everything. 2009 sees the introduction of probably the most dramatic changes to technical regulations in the history of Formula One. While engineers have previously been able to use the predecessor as a basis for designing their new car, this time they were faced with a blank page or a black computer screen.
The aerodynamics specialists invested a lot of time in developing the front wing, paying particular attention to the way it interacted with the underbody. The result is a triple-element front wing, which is visually very dominant and, to a large extent, defines the car's appearance.
