Force India F1 co-owner Vijay Mallya has tempered expectations. The business man from India realises his team missed out on a lot of testing this winter and said the team will see the first number of races on the 2009 F1 calendar as shakedown races "The drivers have the simulators to familiarise themselves with the new car," Mallya told India's Telegraph. "I would like to say one thing though, don't expect miracles. No team has had enough testing and so, the first couple of races would be shakedown races. From Barcelona onwards, we would be seriously competitive." Mallya furthermore confirmed the team will not have a formal team launch of the car this year.
